One of the main challenges was building trust around the core payment experience. Users were hesitant during critical actions like sending money or linking cards due to unclear UI states and a lack of instant feedback. This affected both retention and user confidence.
Another challenge was around the rewards and cashback section. The structure felt disconnected from the main app flow, and users weren’t fully aware of how to earn or redeem rewards. This resulted in low engagement with one of the platform’s most valuable features.
I focused on making the payment flow more transparent and reassuring by introducing clear micro-interactions, confirmations, and progress states. This helped users feel more in control during transactions and reduced drop-offs in high-stakes areas like money transfers and card linking.
I also restructured the rewards experience to be more visible and action-driven. We added contextual prompts and a unified rewards dashboard that clearly showed earning progress, history, and redemption options turning what used to be a hidden feature into a core part of the product.
